Within the traditional "LongHouse" of many Native American Indian tribes, several family groups resided.
Tolerance was necessary. As many as five or six families of the same clan resided within the walls of the LongHouse. Family and community are the most important aspects of these Peoples' lives. Acceptance and tolerance of those unlike themselves has been a part of their history, and their present-day way of life. We respect these people and honor them by trying to live our lives in their tradition, the tradition of the LongHouse.
We selected the name LongHouse Farm because we know it will take incredible efforts and support from our friends and family to make our dream come true. We also know WE must work hard, make smart business decisions and collaborate with our community members and partners to be successful.
